On July 19, President Volodymyr Zelensky issued Decree No. 532/2019 on dismissal of Tetyana Izhevska from the office of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Vatican and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta.

In this office, Tetiana Izhevska has repeatedly stated that "the diplomatic corps at the Vatican is very friendly, powerful and experienced. "They are the people who support Ukraine, their desire to help is very obvious," she noted in one of the comments for RISU.

In October 2015, the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church conferred on Tetyana Izhevska a Medal of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky. At that time, His Beatitude Sviatoslav noted that Ms Tetyana and her Department did a lot to make sure that the Holy See knew the truth about the events in Ukraine and took appropriate measures and restoration of peaceful life in our country. The head of the UGCC, in particular, recalled the diplomatic meetings in the Vatican with representatives of diplomats from different countries, organized in the light of recent events in Ukraine.
