Priest of the UOC-MP on trial for arms trade in Kherson

In Kherson, a priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) who was involved in trading weapons and ammunition will be prosecuted. Prosecutors in Kherson have submitted the indictment against the priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) who was engaged in trading weapons and ammunition.

According to Kavun.City, in September 2023, he sold two Igla man-portable air-defense systems designed to target airborne threats and three propellant charges for a handheld anti-tank grenade launcher, receiving $3,000 USD in return.

Law enforcement also discovered the location of two other caches containing weapons and ammunition. They were found in the basement of a multi-story residential building and on a plot of land owned by the man. Among the items found were a machine gun, an AK-74 rifle, propellant charges, grenades, bullets with magazines of various calibers, and bayonet knives.

This concerns the case of Hieromonk Viktor Inyakin. Following information about his arrest, the priest was suspended from performing religious services.
