“We are taken aback and we do not know what to do: we should attend the service but do we have to go to the Lenin’s Square to pray?!” complained a parishioner of one of the Kharkiv Churches to the correspondent of obkom.net.ua.

On 7-8 May, patriarch Kirill of Moscow will visit Kharkiv. On Sunday, 8 May, at Svobody Square, a liturgy is to be served with the participation of the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Volodymyr, and many Orthodox hierarchs from Russia, Ukraine and other countries.
