In Khmelnytsky, a Ukrainian soldier was beaten up by representatives of the UOC-MP.
This was reported by Viktor Burlyk, a deputy of the Khmelnytsky Regional Council, who wrote about the incident on Facebook. The victim was identified as military Artur Ananyev, who volunteered for the front since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and fought in the 19th Rifle Battalion. Ananyev suffered a concussion and a traumatic brain injury. This was reported on Censor.NET.
Burlyk stated that Ananyev had gone to the Moscow church to ask the question: "How many more people must die for you to stop going to the Moscow Patriarchate?" What happens next can be seen in the video. A video of the incident was shared online.
Ananyev was subsequently detained by law enforcement officers under Article 173 (disorderly conduct), which has raised concerns among some, including Burlyk, who is outraged that law enforcement officers are protecting the UOC-MP.
