On 12 July, at the Ukrainian Bible Society, an extended session of the Committee for Social Ministry of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations of Ukraine was held. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the concept and strategy of the participation of Churches and religious organizations in the efforts to ensure the right of children to be brought up in families and to prevent social orphanhood for 2012-2020 developed jointly by the Ukraine Without Orphans Alliance and the Committee for Social Ministry.

The main result of the meeting was the realization that the process of settlement of that issue unites and mobilizes believing communities. It was said in the end of the meeting that regardless of what denomination one belongs to, every believer  is personally responsible to God for orphans.
