On Saturday, June 2, 2018, the All-Ukrainian Movement for the Protection of the Rights of Children and Families will be held for the third time in Kyiv, in accordance with the appeal of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (AUCCRO).
The event will be held under the slogan “Happy family makes healthy Ukraine!”, The Department of Information of the UGCC reports.
The purpose of this event is to draw the attention of society and authority to the moral and spiritual foundations of family and marriage as a union of men and women, necessary for the harmonious education and healthy development of children.
“By this action, we, believers, want to once again claim to our entire Ukrainian society our respect for the family as the primary cell of society. And so we want to open the plan of the Lord God for human happiness, because He said to us in his own words: “It is not good for a man to be alone, so I create a wife for him.” So, the family is God's recipe for human happiness!”- said the head of the UGCC Svyatoslav.
The Primate invites all people of good will who understand that a strong family is a recipe for Ukraine's happiness, to take part in this event.
“Come to Kyiv from different corners of Ukraine! Believers of different denominations and religions, we will unite into one common human family in order to declare respect for the family as an institution set up by the Creator and arose even before peoples, states or other types of human communities were formed,” called the head of the UGCC.
“Let the Lord God bless the Ukrainian family! Let men and women learn to be loving couples, good fathers and mothers for their children! Let our Ukraine flourish, and the Heavenly Father will send peace to our Ukrainian common home!” His Beatitude Sviatoslav wished Ukrainians.
