Rector of Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary Participated in Work of International Conference

On May 4, 2010, in Rome, the international conference “The Poor Are the Precious Treasure of the Church: Orthodox and Catholics Together on the Path of Charity” was opened.

KYIV – On May 4, 2010, in Rome, at the conference hall of the St. Egidius community, the international conference “The Poor Are the Precious Treasure of the Church: Orthodox and Catholics Together on the Path of Charity” was opened, dedicated to the problems of poverty in the modern world and the testimony of traditional Christian service to the poor and deprived, orthodox.org.ua reports.

Taking part in the work of the conference were hierarchs, church activists, and theologians from many countries of the world.  The Kyiv Theological Schools are presented by Rector of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary Archbishop Anthony of Boryspil. His Eminence made a report on "Sacrament of the Eucharist, Sacrament of the Poor: Liturgy and Mercy."

Also a trip to Turin and the Shroud of Turin is scheduled for the conference participants.
