Deputy head of the presidential administration Hanna Herman is of the opinion that there are no interdenominational conflicts in Ukraine and that churches should rather speak about the problems that are being silenced in the society. The official stated this during the round table "The Dialogue Between the Government and Denominations in the Context of the European System of Values," which was held today in Kyiv, our RISU correspondent reports.

According to Herman, the churches should concentrate on the lack of charity in the modern Ukrainian society. According to her, the Ukrainian authorities treat all the denominations equally and if anyone disagrees with that, they do it only because they "want to impose another opinion."

Hanna Herman assured that the new regime wants to pay attention to the opinion of the denominations.

At the same time, representatives of the denominations severely criticized the reluctance of the current authorities to conduct a dialogue with representatives of all churches in Ukraine, expressed their negative reaction to the liquidation of the State Committee on Nationalities and Religions, and condemned the tendency of the authorities to deal only with one "privileged" church in Ukraine.

The round table was conducted by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, and the Institute of Religious Freedom. Taking part in the discussion were representatives of various denominations of Ukraine, the presidential administration, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Supreme Council of Ukraine, public organizations, young politicians, and scholars.
