On Sunday 15 November, Bishop Borys Gudziak prayed in the Cathedral of Notre Dame for the victims of terrorist attacks in Paris. Cardinal Andre Vingt-Trois, archbishop of Paris led the mass. 129 people killed in a wave of terror attacks Friday night.

Police vans lined the streets surrounding the cathedral and armed officers rifled through bags. Another check took place by the cathedral's heavy doors. Many believers couldnt enter the cathedral and prayed outside

.Archbishop of Paris Andre Vingt-Trois addressed the terrorist attacks, referring to them as barbaric, and insisted that the country must fight back with strength within.

The dean of The School of Theology and Religious Studies of the Catholic University of America also joined the Mass at Notre Dame Cathedral. "This moving liturgy demonstrated the importance of prayer. I have been Visiting with Bishop Borys Gudziak and have been deeply moved by the faith of the people in Paris. Thousands were on the streets unable to enter the filled Cathedral. There was such a sense of peace, calm, and hope in God', he wrote on his Facebook page.
