Roman Catholic Bishop To Be Consecrated in Odesa

On January 5, in the Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin in Odesa, the Auxiliary Bishop of the Odesa-Simferopol Diocese Father Jacek Pyl will be consecrated a bishop.

RISU learned from Oleksandr Dobroier that the event will be attended by 180 priests and 20 bishops and archbishops of the Roman and Greek Catholic churches from Ukraine and abroad.

The service is to be led by Apostolic Nuncio in Ukraine, Archbishop Thomas Edward Gullickson, Head of the Bishops Conference of Ukraine, Metropolitan Mieczyslaw Mokrzycki and Bishop Bronislaw Bernacki of the Odesa-Simferopol Diocese.
