During the ‘religious procession’ of the supporters of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) scheduled for July 29 in Kyiv provocations may occur. This was announced by Parliament Speaker Andriy Parubiy.
“The enemy is also developing plans to destabilize the situation in the country by creating an artificial political crisis and unrest in the streets. We have seen how one of the religious organizations, which has its spiritual center in the aggressor country, mobilizes a large number of the faithful and gathers them in Kyiv on July 26, calling it a peaceful procession. According to our information, the Kremlin has prepared a provocation in the streets of Kyiv on July 26,” said Parubiy.
The speaker said that not only civilians are moving to Kyiv but also provocateurs with banned symbols and symbols of the aggressor country.
“The followers of pro-Russian organizations – men of athletic build, previously noticed in raider attacks and provocations, are being pulled in to Kyiv,” Parubiy said.
Note that the ‘religious procession’ of the UOC MP set off on July 3 at Svyatogorsk Lavra in Donetsk region, and on July 9 – at Pochaiv Lavra in Ternopil region. On July 27, on the eve of the celebration of the Baptism of Rus-Ukraine, the participants are going to meet in Kyiv on St. Volodymyr’s Hill and head together for Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, where a grand worship is scheduled.
