Ukraine has proposed to Russia an exchange of prisoners of war who practice Islam, on an all-for-all basis, as a gesture of respect for their culture and traditions during Ramadan.

This was stated by Daria Zarivna, Communications Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, as reported by LB.ua.

"We presented this proposal to exchange Muslims on both sides, but unfortunately, the Russian side did not show much enthusiasm for the idea," Zarivna stated.

She added that this initiative was one of many decisions made by the Ukrainian negotiating team during prisoner exchanges.
