An ADRA Ukraine truck was attacked by an enemy FPV drone while delivering humanitarian aid to the residents of the Kherson Region. The incident occurred on May 16 in the village of Urozhaine, located in the Beryslav district, while the team was unloading food packages from the UN World Food Program.
According to ADRA Ukraine, while there were no injuries reported during the attack, the truck and some of the cargo sustained damage.
On the morning of the incident, a truck from the charitable organization ADRA Ukraine, loaded with food packages, left Kryvyi Rih for the Kherson region. The aid was intended for residents of the Beryslav community. Volunteers successfully delivered and unloaded approximately 380 food packages in three settlements within the Beryslav district. The final delivery point was the village of Urozhaine, where the aid was meant for both local residents and those from Beryslav.
However, around 11:30 a.m., while unloading, the truck was attacked by an FPV drone. The drone targeted the cab but instead struck a part of the vehicle's body located behind the driver. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the vehicle and some humanitarian cargo were damaged.
Despite the attack, the driver managed to keep the vehicle operational. He quickly evacuated the remaining food packages and left the scene due to the ongoing threat, as other drones remained airborne. The driver then returned to Kryvyi Rih, where experts will assess the technical condition of the damaged vehicle and the remaining cargo.
