On the evening of March 27, 2025, two Shaheed attack drones hit the building of the Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith in the village of Banychi, Sumy region, just 18 kilometers from the border with Russia. The church was completely destroyed.

This was reported by Bishop Viktor Klyots of the Ukrainian Evangelical Christian Church, according to the Telegram channel Christians Against War.

The building was more than a place for believers to gather; it served as a center of life for the entire village, housing a children's center and preschool training courses. “I thank the Lord for His mercy! No one was inside at the time of the strike, so no one was hurt,” said Pastor Mykola Mohylevsky.
