During the night of May 21, the premises of an Evangelical Christian Baptist house of prayer in the city of Orikhiv, Zaporizhia Oblast, was hit by a direct strike.

This was reported by the press service of the Evangelical Christian Baptist Union.

This is the second time that Russian forces' shelling has mercilessly destroyed this house of prayer. Just days earlier, on the night of May 16, the building's roof, walls, and technical structures caught fire due to a direct hit.

Currently, the church building has suffered irreparable damage.

The enemy attacked Orikhiv with artillery and MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket Systems), in addition to using banned incendiary ammunition in residential areas. In total, 84 shelling incidents were recorded in 18 villages and cities near the front line in the Zaporizhia Oblast.

"We were here a few days ago delivering humanitarian aid. The population and church members who remain in Orikhiv are in need of assistance and prayer support," said Dmytro Matyukhin, head of the Social Service Committee of the Union of Baptist Churches.
