Salesian Priest Named Lviv Resident of the Year

On the occasion of the 756th anniversary of the city of Lviv, the Lviv City Council presented honorary awards to several of the most worthy citizens.

On the occasion of the 756th anniversary of the city of Lviv, the Lviv City Council presented honorary awards to several of the most worthy citizens, the Information Department of the UGCC reported.

During the celebratory session of the council, a Salesian priest, Director of the Pokrova orphanage, Fr. Mykhailo Chaban, was named “the Lviv resident of the year” and received an award for “his significant personal contribution in the settlement of issues of social protection of children and his activity aimed to educate orphans, children depraved of parental care and children in difficult life circumstances.”
