On November 7, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) conducted counterintelligence operations in two UOC-MP churches in Zakarpattia.
According to TSN, this was reported by local journalist Vitaliy Hlahola.
According to Hlahola, representatives of the SBU and the National Police have conducted searches at the Saint Michael's Church in the village of Ruske Heyivtsi and the Nativity of the Mother of God Church in the village of Chervone.
They are investigating information suggesting that these churches were involved in prayers for the Russian clergy, which blessed the Russian army's invasion of Ukraine, justified Russia's war against Ukraine, and fueled interconfessional hatred. Additionally, the legality of the placement of these churches on their respective land plots is being examined.
