The security service exposed another accomplice of the aggressor in the Zhytomyr region. The perpetrator turned out to be a servant of the Spaso-Pokrovsky Convent of the local diocese of the UOC-MP.
This is stated on SBU's Facebook page.
After a full-scale invasion was launched, he publicly supported the Russian invaders and justified their war crimes.
To do this, he joined the pro-Kremlin Telegram community "Russian Spring".
There, he called on the invaders to destroy the Ukrainians and seize Kyiv.
In addition, he actively published positive comments on enemy missile attacks on Ukrainian cities.
He especially "noted" air attacks on energy facilities and social institutions, particularly schools and hospitals.
In his messages, the perpetrator popularized rashists and was engaged in discrediting units of the Defense Forces.
He also agitated citizens not to join the ranks of Ukrainian defenders.
At the initiative of the SBU, the discovered materials were submitted for a comprehensive forensic psychological and linguistic examination.
According to experts, documented "publications" threaten the state security of Ukraine.
Based on the collected evidence, the SBU investigators informed the person involved about suspicion under Part 1 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and glorification of its participants).
Investigative actions are continuing to establish all the circumstances of the offense.
The detection was conducted by the SBU officers in Kyiv and Kyiv region under the procedural supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.
