The Security Service has collected evidence of the guilt of the rector of the parish of the RCC Diocese of Kyiv-Zhytomyr anti-Ukrainian activities.

This is stated on the SBU Facebook page.

He publicly justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and denied the war crimes of the Russian invaders against the Ukrainians.

In his "speeches" to the faithful, the priest called the facts of numerous murders and tortures of people by rashists in Bucha "staged".

In addition, the rector ured not to trust the official information of Ukrainian state institutions and mass media about the war crimes committed by the aggressor. On the contrary, he campaigned to listen only to him because he was allegedly in the Kyiv region during the temporary occupation of part of the region.

The person involved in the case was informed of suspicion of Part 1 of Article 436-2 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation has been completed. The indictment was sent to the court.

We emphasize that in its activities, the SBU adheres to the principle of impartiality to the activities of any religious denomination and respects the right of every citizen to freedom of worldview and religion, as defined by the Constitution of Ukraine.

The activities to expose the offense were carried out by employees of the SBU of the Zhytomyr region under the procedural leadership of the regional prosecutor's office.
