Anton Gerashchenko, MP of People's Front  and the adviser to Interior Minister urges to refrain from provocations regarding religious procession of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate).

He wrote it on his Facebook page on Monday.

In his view, the “so-called religious procession was designed outside Ukraine” to destabilize society.

“The idea proponents know how easy it is to instill in the Ukrainian mass consciousness a certain conflict situation and then just wrote Gerashchenko.

The MP urged the press, politicians and the public “not to pay much attention to this special operation called ‘religious procession’ as its effectiveness is directly proportional to the attention the Ukrainian media focuses thereon.”

He also called not to make provocations and fight against this ‘religious procession’.

“The Ministry of Interior and SBU are doing their job. They carefully monitor the entire situation around the so-called ‘religious procession’. We study the individual organizers, funding sources and other related parties,” Gerashchenko assures.

“There are enough people who collaborate with our operational staff among the parishioners of the Moscow Patriarchate. So we know in detail what happens,” he said.

The MP said that the Security Service and Ministry of Interior are seeking to avoid provocations and assaults on members of the ‘religious procession’, Ukrainska Pravda reports.
