Session of Working Group for Preparation of Patriarch Kirill’s Visit to Ukraine Held

Working group set up to prepare for the visit of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow to Ukraine.

KYIV – As part of the instruction of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 17.05.2010 № 25566/1-10, a working group, which includes representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) and representatives of the bodies of state authorities, was set up to prepare for the visit of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow to Ukraine. The session of the working group was held on June 10 at the State Committee on Nationalities and Religions of Ukraine, reports the website of the UOC-MP.

Taking part in the work of the group were the administrator of the UOC-MP, Bishop Mytrofan of Bila Tserkva and Bohuslav, chairman of the State Committee on Nationalities and Religions of Ukraine, Yurii Reshetnikov, and representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Administration of the President of Ukraine, ministries, and departments.

Note that Patriarch Kirill will visit Ukraine from July 20-28, 2010.
