Shmyhal and representative of Patriarch Bartholomew discussed humanitarian projects

On the Day of the Baptism of Rus-Ukraine, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal met with Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon to discuss humanitarian projects and assistance to Ukrainians.

The meeting was held in Kyiv, and the Prime Minister thanked the Metropolitan for the visit. He also expressed gratitude for the support of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

"His personal participation in the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland is a crucial contribution to restoring peace in our country," Shmyhal said.

He emphasized that the efforts of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and prayers for Ukraine "inspire millions of Ukrainians and give them hope that in the foreseeable future, we will achieve a just end to the war Russia unleashed."
