While commenting on Donald Tusk's statement about the first decisions on the exhumation of the Volyn tragedy victims, Andrii Sybiha noted that every resolved issue in relations between Ukraine and Poland is a blow to Moscow.

This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Telegram.

“We respect each other and defend ourselves against Russian imperialism together. Each resolved bilateral issue is a blow to Moscow,” the Foreign Minister said.

Sybiha called it an excellent result of the working group coordinated by the Ministers of Culture of Ukraine and Poland - Mykola Tochytskyi and Hanna Wróblewska.

“We look forward to further implementation of the agreements on the basis of mutual respect and reciprocity,” Sybiha added.

Prior to this, Donald Tusk said that Ukraine and Poland had reached an agreement on the search and exhumation of Polish victims of the Volyn tragedy.

“Finally, there is a breakthrough - a decision on the first exhumation of Polish victims of the UPA (the Ukrainian Insurgent Army). I want to thank the Ministers of Culture of Poland and Ukraine for their fruitful cooperation. We await further decisions,” Tusk wrote.

Earlier, the Polish Prime Minister emphasized that the declaration on the absence of any obstacles to the search and exhumation of the victims of the Volyn tragedy in Ukraine is the key to the full reconciliation of both peoples.
