A session of the Synod of Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate (UOC-KP) was held on 13 May. The Synod of Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate decreed to admit Bishops Ioan (Shvets) of the Lviv-Sambir Eparchy of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (UAOC) and Bishop Adrian (Kulyk) of Khmelnytsk Eparchy of UAOC with their parishes in the Kyivan Patriarchate upon their previous requests.

The synod also passed a decision “to welcome the unification of hierarchs and parishes of UAOC with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate as a process promoting the establishment of one Local Orthodox Church in Ukraine.”
