On May 14, 2011, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate marked the 45th anniversary of Patriarch Filaret’s service on the Kyiv cathedra. The synod of the church addressed the hierarch on this occasion with a greeting, the website of the UOC-KP reported.
The bishops of the Kyivan Patriarchate wished Patriarch Filaret “many blessed years of service as the primate on the Kyiv cathedra and realization of unification and recognition of the autocephaly of the local Ukrainian Orthodox Church.”
