In Donetsk, on July 8, terrorists kidnapped a priest of the UOC of the Kyiv Patriarchate, archpriest Yuri Ivanov from his home.

In Donetsk, on July 8, terrorists kidnapped a priest of the UOC of the Kyiv Patriarchate, archpriest Yuri Ivanov from his home.

It was written on his Facebook page, according to Archbishop Yevstratiy (Zorya).

Fr. Yuri served in the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in Petrovsky district of Donetsk.

“Earlier the separatists came to this priest and demanded that he called to his home under the pretext of urgent need Kyiv Patriarchate Archbishop Sergius of Donetsk, apparently with a purpose of kidnapping”, says Archbishop Yevstratiy.

"Believers of Donetsk are asking for prayers for Fr. Yuri Ivanov and the aid in his release”, says the Archbishop.
