The 60th Plenary Session of the RCC Bishops of Ukraine commenced

The 60th full session of the Conference of Bishops of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine started on March 6 in Bryukhovychi, not far from Lviv.

This was reported by CREDO.

The meeting is chaired by the bishop ordinary of the Diocese of Lutsk, Vitaliy Skomarovskiy. Archbishop Visvaldas Kulbokas, the Apostolic Nuncio to Ukraine, will also be in attendance.

The program is expected to begin with a small meeting between bishops and a special guest, Cardinal Gerhard Müller. Information was received from him that would be reported about the current activity of the Commissions within the framework of the Bishops' Conference. Also, information would be given about the activity of "Caritas Spes Ukraine. Other topics that will be developed further will be related, among other things, to such challenges as the war and providing the population of de-occupied territories and internally displaced persons, among others, with humanitarian assistance.
