The enthronement of the new Archbishop of Crete to take place on February

Τhe Minister of Education and Religion of Greece is expected to sign the Presidential Decree appointing the new Archbishop of Crete, Archbishop Evgenios, which will launch the procedures needed until his enthronement.

According to the comments made by the Bishop of Knossos to told newshub.gr, after the signing of the document, Archbishop Evgenios will be summoned to Athens for the confirmation before the President of the Republic, Katerini Sakellaropoulou. It is estimated that this will be done within ten days from the publication of the Official Gazette.

The enthronement of the new Archbishop at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Minas will take place on Saturday, February 5.
