The authors said that in the proposed book, they sought to reveal the most urgent issues of studying Islam. At the same time, they are turning to the primary sources – the Quran, Sunnah, testimonies of religious authorities.
Special attention was also paid to the important aspects of the Islamic doctrine, which make it possible to understand the processes that are taking place in modern Islam – issues of value orientations, religion and politics, the existence of Islam in Europe.
Individual units give an idea of the historical context of Islam in Ukraine and its current state. The textbook contains a dictionary of Islamic religious terms of Arab origin, the Islamic lunar calendar, the Koranic names of the Divine scriptures, the main geographical names, the names of the prophets and biblical characters in the Qur'an. The textbook contains a list of literature, which the authors recommend to better master the knowledge of Islam.
