The Head of the OCU, Metropolitan Epifaniy, expressed support for the people of Georgia defending their independence.

He wrote about this on his page on the X network, Religiyna Pravda reports.

“The Orthodox Church of Ukraine and I, as its Primate, pray for the people of Georgia. We wish our brothers and sisters to protect their independence and their future as a free European nation.

The truth shall prevail! May God bless all those who are on the side of truth!” said Metropolitan Epifaniy.

As reported previously, representatives of the Georgian Orthodox Church stated that the demonstrations in Tbilisi had escalated into a “serious confrontation” and called on protesters and police to abide by the law.
