The head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church congratulated Bishop Borys Gudziak on the 25th anniversary of his ordination as a bishop. His Beatitude Sviatoslav personally, on behalf of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC, extended greetings to Bishop Borys Gudziak, the Archbishop and Metropolitan of Philadelphia, on the occasion of his 25th anniversary of episcopal ordination.

The message expressed gratitude to the Lord for Bishop Borys Gudziak's life, his saintly ministry, and for all the gifts with which God has abundantly endowed him, gifts that he has generously multiplied. Patriarch Sviatoslav recalled Bishop Sofron Mudry, from whom Bishop Borys received the gift of priesthood on November 26, 1998.
The head of the UGCC acknowledged Bishop Borys's sacrificial priestly ministry, combining it with diligent work as the rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University, preparing him for the acceptance of an even greater gift—episcopal ordination. He acknowledged Bishop Borys's nurturing of hundreds of young hearts in love for God, their Church, and their Homeland. Patriarch Sviatoslav expressed heartfelt gratitude to Bishop Borys for his service.
The message concluded with wishes for abundant blessings from God and the assistance of the Holy Spirit in all Bishop Borys's endeavors for the glory of God and for the good of their Church and the native people, wishing him many blessed years ahead.
