The representative of the ruling regime of the aggressor country also called on the international community to "respond".

This is reported by the Correspondent.

"This is an unprecedented and unacceptable decision by the Ukrainian government," said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the president of the Russian Federation, during a briefing on Monday, March 13. Peskov called on the world community to "react" to this decision and urged the international community to "respond."

"This is an absolutely unprecedented attitude towards representatives of the Church, the Russian Orthodox Church (as he described the UOC - MP-Ed.). We consider this unacceptable, and, of course, we believe that the international community should respond accordingly to such an outrageous decision," the Russian official said.

He further expressed the Kremlin's concern about the situation surrounding the Lavra and called on the world community to react to the Ukrainian government's demand for the UOC-MP monks to leave the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.

As previously reported, the National Reserve of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra has decided not to renew the lease of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, and as a result, the monks of the monastery have been advised to leave the monastery before March 29.
