In occupied Crimea, security forces have detained the leader and two organizers of the banned organization "Jehovah's Witnesses."
This was reported by Russian media, according to Glavkom.
"As part of criminal cases initiated this month, a 45-year-old resident of Crimea, who is one of the leaders of the extremist organization 'Administrative Center of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia,' which coordinated the activities of extremist groups 'Jehovah's Witnesses in Crimea,' has been detained," said the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The detainee has been charged under Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organizing the activities of a banned religious organization). During the search at the elder's house, "extremist" literature was seized.
