As part of his visit to the Diocese of Luhansk on November 17, 2021, the Primate of the local Ukrainian Orthodox Church, accompanied by Bishop Lavrenty of Luhansk and Starobilsk and military chaplains, visited the location of the Operational and Tactical Group "North".

Addressing the defenders of Ukraine, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epifaniy thanked them for their selfless service, the official website of the OCU reports.

"Today I want to express our gratitude to each of you and say that we are praying for you. We pray that the Lord will give you health and strength to continue to defend the truth. We are grateful to you and remember those who are no longer among us – the newest heroes who gave their lives. The Orthodox Church of Ukraine honors their feat," the Metropolitan said in particular.
