The presidential political force will return to the consideration of the bill to ban religious organizations connected with Russia at the end of June.

The source mentioned that a prayer breakfast will take place in Ukraine at the end of June, which a high-ranking representative of the US Republican Party is expected to attend.
Some conservative Republicans believe that banning religious organizations associated with the aggressor country could lead to the suppression of religious communities and attacks on religious freedoms, noted the representative of the Servant of the People.
"For them, this is a trigger point. They have repeatedly conveyed signals regarding this to parliamentarians and the President’s Office. In other words, we might lose support if it goes this way," the source told NV.
The member of the majority emphasized that the decision to postpone the issue was also made to avoid disrupting the Global Peace Summit, which will be held on June 15-16 in Switzerland, and to "avoid harming the president and the tasks currently facing international policy."
Given this, MPs will return to discussing the religious issue only after the American politician’s visit.
It is worth noting that on May 22, the Servant of the People faction held a meeting to discuss the ban on religious organizations connected with Russia.
A representative of the presidential faction told NV that the meeting lasted several hours. The MPs reached a consensus that the issue requires further study and analysis of all the amendments to the bill, which total more than 1,200. Considering this, the "Servants" decided to hold another meeting to discuss the fate of the bill on banning religious organizations connected with Russia in detail.
