The Vatican press center reports: “During the cordial discussions, both Parties expressed their satisfaction at the development of bilateral relations, further strengthened by the protocol of understanding signed today regarding the collaboration between the “Bambino Gesù” Paediatric Hospital and the pediatric hospitals of the Russian Federation. Later, some important issues related to the life of the Catholic Church in Russia were discussed. The parties further focused on environmental issues and some topical issues in the international sphere, with a separate reference to Syria, Ukraine and Venezuela," the Vatican reports.
