A festive Liturgy was held today at St. Michael's Cathedral in Kyiv on the occasion of the second anniversary of the enthronement of Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and all Ukraine. In his speech, the head of the OCU thanked the clergy and faithful for their prayerful support and expressed confidence that all Orthodox Ukrainians will soon belong to the United Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

"The enthronement event is connected with the creation of a single Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church. We thank God for two years of living together after the Unification Council. We feel God's help, and if it weren't for the Lord, we wouldn't have achieved what we already have. There is a lot of work ahead. The Church of Cyprus is not the last to join the recognition of our Tomus. There is still recognition from other Orthodox churches around the world ahead. We will continue to pray and fulfill the mission assigned to us. If the Lord further helps us, and we are sure he will, then we get what we want. May the Lord continue to affirm our autocephalous local Orthodox Church. And the participation of each of you, the clergy and laity, is important in this. All Orthodox Ukrainians will soon belong to the United Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Time will unite and do everything for the unity of Ukrainian Orthodoxy," Metropolitan Epifaniy said at the solemn Liturgy.
