According to journal No. 114 of the session of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church of October 13, 2022, two clergymen of the UOC-MP became members of the commission for Old Believer parishes and interaction with Old Believers.

According to the ROC website, Metropolitan Ionafan of Tulchyn and Bratslav and Archimandrite Akhila (Shakhterin), confessor of the women's Old Believer monastery in honor of the icon of the mother of God "Kyiv-Bratskaya" of the Archdiocese of Kyiv were respectively appointed to these offices.

The same Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church decided to accept the Diocese of the UOC MP in the Luhansk region in direct canonical and administrative subordination to the Patriarch of Moscow and the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church. Also, he thanked Metropolitan Onufriy for charitable activities.

This was stated in the report of Metropolitan Dionysius of the Russian Orthodox Church of Voskresensk, chancellor of the Moscow Patriarchate, chairman of the interdepartmental working group on coordinating assistance provided to the dioceses of Donbas and adjacent territories that are "in the conflict zone."

Recall that the other day Metropolitan Ionafan was searched by the SBU. The hierarch came to the attention of the SBU because of the publication of materials calling for inter-confessional hostility. In addition, he is charged under Articles 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason) and 111-1 (collaboration).

Also, the UOC-MP, which held its Council on May 27, 2022, assures that in accordance with the new version of the UOC charter adopted at the Council, they are no longer MP.

Instead, the ROC website cites all dioceses of the UOC-MP in alphabetical order, along with other dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church.
