A shooting involving Hasidim took place in Uman on May 22, the Cherkasy Region Police said.
"At about 15: 00, the Uman Region Police received a report that a shooting occurred on Sofia Perovskaya Street. As a result, two people, Israeli citizens, were injured. Paramedics took the wounded to the hospital," the police stated.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings on the fact of hooliganism, Radio Svoboda reports.
Law enforcement officers conduct an inspection of the scene, seize material evidence, interview witnesses and take explanations from eyewitnesses, establish the identity of the attacker who escaped before the arrival of law enforcement officers.
