On May 24, 2024, the delegation of the Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (UCCRO) concluded its visit to Brazil with events in São Paulo and Brasília.

A part of the delegation, including Anatoliy Raychynets (Ukrainian Bible Society), Ihor Bandura (Ukrainian Union of Evangelical Christian-Baptist Churches, UECBC), Oleksandr Babiychuk (Ukrainian Church of Evangelical Christians, UCEC), Ivan Rusyn (Ukrainian Evangelical Church, UEC), Father Rostyslav Vorobey (Orthodox Church of Ukraine, OCU), Oleksandr Pavlenko (Ukrainian Church of Evangelical Christians, UCEC), and Oleksandr Zayats (Institute for Religious Freedom, IRS), visited the main office of the Brazilian Bible Society (BBS) in São Paulo.
In the morning, Bishop Oleksandr Babiychuk conducted a service for the staff of the Bible Society, which comprises more than 600 people. After this, UCCRO representatives were acquainted with the work of the Brazilian Bible Society and given a tour of the Bible Printing Center. This center operates around the clock, producing 33,000 copies of the Bible and New Testaments daily and 1 million copies monthly.
On the same day in Brasília, Roman Catholic Bishop Oleksandr Yazlovetsky, along with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Brazil, Andriy Melnyk, met with Roman Catholic Cardinal Paulo da Costa. Following the meeting with the Cardinal, Bishop Oleksandr Yazlovetsky and Ambassador Andriy Melnyk held a press conference for Brazilian Catholic media. They discussed the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the suffering of the Ukrainian people and answered journalists' questions regarding religious persecution in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the destruction of churches by Russian military forces, and other related issues.
