UGCC Bishop becomes honorary member of Ukrainian Youth Association - CYM in Australia

The plenary of the Regional Council of the Ukrainian Youth Association in Australia decided to confer on the Eparch for the Ukrainians-Catholics in Australia, New Zealand and Oceania, Bishop Petro (Stasyuk) to the title of "Honorary member of CYM in Australia," goes the message.

"It was a great honor to formally ratify the proposal of the CYM unit in Melbourne for the recognition of CYM's longtime chief chaplain, Bishop Kyr Petro Stasiuk, as an Honorary CYM Member in Australia," the Australian CYM Board reported.

Its Head Andriy Duma thanked Bishop Petro for his long-time work for CYM and Ukrainian youth in general.

The CYM members also celebrated the episcopal Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of Sts Peter and Paul in Melbourne, at the end of which the Bishop congratulated the CYM and expressed recognition and gratitude for the work done in the ranks of the Union of Ukrainian Youth, in the Church field and in the life of the Ukrainian community.

The Union of Ukrainian Youth (CYM) is a public organization that unites Ukrainian youth on a voluntary basis and educates conscious, honest and hardworking citizens, devoted Ukrainians-statesmen who generate  the worldview on national Christian traditions and ideals formed by the Ukrainian nation for centuries.
