Bohdan Dzyurakh, Apostolic Exarch for Ukrainians of the Byzantine rite in Germany and Scandinavia, was on a working visit to Switzerland on October 8-12, 2022, at the invitation of the International Catholic charity organization "Help the Church in Need".

Such visits, according to the hierarch, are a good opportunity to witness the courage and dignity of our people, thank them for their support and call for further solidarity with Ukraine during the war.

During the visit, the Apostolic Exarch celebrated the Liturgy at the Church of St. Anna in Frauenfeld in the Cathedral Church of Saints Gaul and Otmar in Moscow. St. Gallen, where he also prayed in the chapel of the Guardian Angels.

Department administrator Fr. Beat Grogli displayed Ukrainian icons in the church on the occasion of Bishop Bohdan's visit, and Bishop Markus Buchel read out the German translation of the prayer of John Paul II for peace.

Each prayer was accompanied by communication with local pastors and their parishioners about the pain and suffering of the people of Ukraine and their courage, dignity and sacrifice in defending their homeland.
