UGCC Is Looking for Land Plot for Construction of Cathedral in Lutsk

The head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Patriarch Sviatoslav, said at a press conference in Lutsk on March 26 that the church is planning to build a UGCC cathedral in Lutsk and that is looking for a land plot for the construction, the Information Department of UGCC reported.

Patriarch Sviatoslav shared his plans to visit communities during the week, familiarize himself with their needs in order to assist in the development of churches, give recommendations, “probably find out what institutions we need to establish and what the needs of the local communities are.”

According to him, the visit to Volyn is aimed also to settle specific pastoral issues. “We are waiting for a plot for the construction of a cathedral of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Lutsk,” stated the Primate.
