UGCC military chaplains and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine meet online

Defense Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov held an online meeting with military chaplains of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church as part of the XV all-Ukrainian Conference of Military Chaplains of the UGCC.

The current Congress of Military Chaplains is dedicated to deepening the general awareness of the mission of a military chaplain. The meeting of the minister of defense with military pastors took place against the background of the law of Ukraine "On Military Chaplaincy" recently adopted by the Verkhovna Rada. This is reported by the Press center of the Department of Military Chaplaincy of the UGCC.

The head of the Defense Ministry expressed the readiness to provide all the necessary support and assistance at the initial stage of creating a new service and answered questions from chaplains present at the Congress.

The minister highly appreciated the activities of military chaplains in the armed forces of Ukraine and expressed gratitude for their devotional service, as well as shared his thoughts on setting priorities in meeting the spiritual and religious needs of military personnel and promoting their spiritual health and integral development.

According to the report, the chaplains present had positive impressions of the communication and hope for state assistance in establishing the effective operation of the Institute of military chaplaincy in Ukraine.
