“It is for the workers who work for us that we have established 24 pastoral centers in the whole of Poland, including four in Warsaw. We are aware that it is difficult for these people, so we do everything to be a shelter so that they may feel themselves home,” the UGCC representatives said.

The conversation stressed that the RCC and the Polish government actively cooperate with the UGCC on assistance to migrant workers and migrants.

“It is important that we can take our brothers and sisters from Ukraine today, to come to meet them, thanks to the Latin Church, and it opens its churches in front of us. In Warsaw, three of the four points (centers of the UGCC, ed.) are located in the Roman Catholic Churches. The authorities of Poland and the Latin Church understand the need for this,” they said.

The meeting was held in Przemysl (Poland) on October 4 as part of a study visit to Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

Representatives of the Lviv Regional State Administration handed patriotic and religious literature to the Ukrainian community in Przemysl. Metropolitan Yevhen presented a collection of Ukrainian-Polish reconciliation and documents of the hierarchy and priesthood to the residents of Lviv.
