His Beatitude Sviatoslav called on Ukrainians in Germany and Scandinavia to pray for Ukraine, which is now living "in a time of great fear." At the same time, the head of the UGCC expressed hope that the entire international community will support our state.

According to the UGCC Information Department, His Beatitude made such a call at the enthronement of the exarch for the UGCC faithful in Germany and the Scandinavian countries before inviting the Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, Mr. Andriy Melnyk, to speak.

"Let me convey to you congratulations from your brothers and sisters from Ukraine," the head of the Church said, addressing the Ukrainian diaspora in Germany and Scandinavia.

He noted that Ukraine is going through a difficult time right now.

"It is not easy for us in Ukraine. We are now living in a time of great fear, but we know that the entire world community will support us. Ukraine is bleeding profusely, plagued by the pandemic, but it is strong. It will survive. Pray for us! May the Lord God bless us all and give us a day and time when we will not cry but laugh. I cordially thank you all, " His Beatitude Sviatoslav said.
