Ukraine Prays for the Victims of the Accident in Dnipropetrovsk

The tragedy occurred at one of the crossings of the Nikopol-Marganets line - a shunting locomotive collided with a passenger bus. According to preliminary reports, the accident killed 43 people, 8 are still in hospital in serious condition.

A memorial service for victims of the accident was held on the night of October 12 in the Kyiv Cave Monastery with the blessing of the primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, reports the website of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate.

The accident, which occured October 12 in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the police evaluated as the worst since 1991. The president of Ukraine announced that October 13 would be a day of national mourning.
