According to Information Resistance, on May 4, MP of Ukraine Novynskyy, was in Warsaw, and in the context of the mission assigned by Moscow to set up an "initiative group" to obstruct the bestowal of autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church, met with the Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church.
Together with Novynskyy, as well as during his recent visit to Istanbul, some other representatives of the Moscow Patriarchate arrived in Warsaw, including Metropolitan Anthony, Administrative Director of the UOC-MP, Fr Mykola Danylevych, Deputy Chairman of the Department of External Relations of the UOC MP.
“The mission of the delegation was to persuade the Metropolitan of Warsaw that it was inexpedient to grant autocephaly to the Ukrainian Church. Also the arrival of the delegation of the Constantinople Patriarchate in Warsaw on May 19-20 was discussed,” Information Resistance reports.
