Ukrainian day of prayer for orphans to gather in prayer believers of different Christian Churches
"Day of Prayer for Orphans" is a day on which believers from various Christian churches worldwide gather in prayer asking God for protection, blessings and happy families for all the orphaned children, and God's grace to those who make and educate them in their families. "The Day of Prayer" takes place annually on the second Sunday of November.
UOC-KP invite everyone on November 8, on the “Day of Prayer for Ukrainian orphans” to join this initiative. Interesting and useful resources for the "Day of Prayer for orphans" in your church or community can be found at www.densyrot.org.ua.
"Our prayers for God's grace to disadvantaged children and their families are extremely important, especially in these difficult times for our country. We pray and believe that God will solve the problem of orphans and Ukraine will become a country without orphans,” said in the press-center of the Kyiv Patriarchate.
As previously reported, in 2014 a special event in the "National Day of Prayer for Orphans" was the common prayer in the open air, which took place in Kyiv at St. Michael's Square. Together with the family of President of Ukraine, heads of Ukrainian churches the ambassadors of different countries in the world, MPs and public figures, adoptive parents and foster orphaned children from various children's institutions, and caring people prayed for families, prosperity and security for all orphans of Ukraine and for parents who adopt them.
