Ukrainian Greek Catholics Participate in Conference of Military Chaplains of NATO Countries

On 30 January, in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), the Conference of the Chief Military Chaplains of the NATO Countries was launched.

On 30 January, in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), the Conference of the Chief Military Chaplains of the NATO Countries was launched. The event is attended by 63 participants from 27 countries, including Ukraine. Our state is represented at the conference by the Head of the Department of the Patriarchal Curia of UGCC on Pastoral Care in the Military Units of Ukraine, Bishop Mykhail (Koltun)and his Assistant, Fr. Lubomyr Yavorskyi.

The Ukrainian Greek Catholics participate in the conference for the sixth time now. The ministers represent not only the Church but also the Council on Matters of Pastoral Care of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine at the conference.

According to the web site of the Department of Patriarchal Curia of UGCC on Pastoral Care in Military Units of Ukraine,  the theme of the conference this year is “Religious leaders as builders of peace.”
